Jermond is a Drexel University senior majoring in Computer Science with concentrations in Data Structures & Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence. His interest in computers began at the age of 9 when he taught himself QBasic on a VTech laptop.  He eventually went on to gain a Technological Achievement Award upon graduating from his high school in the Virgin Islands for excelling in all of the electronics courses the school had to offer. This experience allowed him to build control systems in his Robot Lab at Drexel, with the goal of controlling a Roomba, and for BriteCo's RED Kiosk since working at Brio.

He is a firm believer in building on existing platforms because why should you rebuild a wheel when it already exists? Simply take the existing design and tweak it to your needs.

Some of his friends say he has a gift for just knowing things, he explains it more as an everyday application of the scientific method. Gather as much pre-existing information on a problem and set a goal for resolving it before you jump to any conclusions.

He is also an avid athlete in just about all arenas from lacrosse to basketball to snowboarding to table tennis. If he hasn't tried it he'll definitely give it a shot. By the way, he's vowed to never go snowboarding again.
